Zong Launches Android Handset, Priced at Rs. 15,999

Zong is all set to launch a fair priced Android handset in Pakistan. Already available Android 2.2 handsets in Pakistan have been priced for the high end segment of the consumers.

From what we have heard so far, Zong’s Android is Priced at 15,999, with a new Zong SIM.

It has a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and GPS. Smart-phone comes an ability to access the Internet using 802.11n WiFi. The Qualcomm processor is said to be clocked at 528 MHz.

Zong’s Android handset has Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light sensor as well, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an microSD slot.

The applications available in an Android Phone are unlimited, facilitating the consumers to always stay connected with social networking groups, configure multiple email accounts, get information about important places in nearby vicinity and download unlimited free application and games.

Expressing his views Salman Wassay, Director Marketing, ZONG said, “Currently the Android handsets have been priced at a premium. With Zong’s fair priced handsets, we aim to bring the emerging technology within the reach of a greater number of consumers in order to let them experience the state-of-the-art technology at affordable rates.”

Android is an emerging mobile technology still in the development phases which offers unlimited applications including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google Maps, Voice Search etc.

Zong Launches Android 2.2 Froyo Handset For Rs.15,999 Only

Zong, A china mobile company, became the first company to start giving out branded zong handsets to their customers. Zong started selling out their branded handset for as low as Rs.1500 with discounted call and sms rates for the whole year. Now, Zong has most amazingly introduced their own branded Google Android 2.2 Froyo based mobile phone handset for only Rs.15,999 with free GPRS for 6 months.

Giant Pumpkin Weighs More than a Car

Already 17 feet in diameter, and weighing 750 kilograms, the giant pumpkin grown by Ian and Stuart Paton is set to become the new world’s largest pumpkin.

Twin brothers Ian and Stuart Paton have been growing giant pumpkins for the last 30 years, and this year they think one of their pumpkins could actually set a new world record. Tipping the scale at 750 kilograms, and growing by around 13 kilograms every day, this giant pumpkin is already heavier than a Fiat 500.

The Paton brothers of Lymington, Hampshire, hope their produce can “put on enough weight” by the official weighing, on Saturday, to beat the old record of 784 kilos. It has already beat the British and European records and by their calculations it could soon be the world’s heaviest pumpkin. Their pumpkins have been getting bigger each year, as they’ve been learning new tricks about how to grow and breed them. This might just be their year.
