India refuses visas to Pak volleyball team

PAKISTAN: India has refused to issue visas to the Pakistan volleyball team, after sending invitations.

Pakistani team was to leave for India, in order to participate in third Asian central zone volleyball championship.

Secretary Pakistan volleyball federation, Major retired Muhammad Afzal, said that the team had applied in time for the visa, but was still rejected.

He further added that he has contacted the Indian volleyball federation for answers.

India had invited seven countries to join the championship. However, only four confirmed participation- Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan and India.

The championship is set to run from September 16 to the September 20.
